Happy Friday everyone!

Tuesday afternoon, I attended the Vogue Eyewear Summer House Event at the Cape Milner Hotel in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town. Usually I would be thrilled to attend an event but this time, I was more than excited! After visiting the Pressroom Showroom a few weeks ago, I couldn’t wait to see what Vogue’s new Summer inspired collection had in store.

I wasn’t sure whether shorts would be appropriate for the grey gloomy weather so I decided to grab these denims that has it’s own ventilation system (if you dig!). To compensate for the little breeze, I thought I’d throw on this beautiful loose tension chunky knit. The rich cream colour was so refreshing & absolutely perfect for these breezy spring days. Usually when I purchase knitwear, I always take a size bigger which allows the shoulder area to slouch & fall effortlessly for a more relaxed look. I kept my makeup natural but concentrated more on highlighting key areas of my face – along my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose, the inner tear ducts & under the arch of my brow.

To finish it off, I grabbed these heels that still look unbelievably fresh even though they’re about 2 years old! Spending a bit extra on a good quality pair of genuine leather shoes really does hold it’s reputation as an investment.

As for the event, the crowd was one of particular quality. We were spoilt with a goodie bag sponsored by Inglot & in addition, we got to choose a pair of Vogue frames right out of their new collection (which literally took me an hour!)

What a great start to the week I had. Now it’s finally friday & I’m ready to kick back..
