I haven’t posted in a while thanks to lock down at work. With so many night duty & weekend shifts at the hospital, my job’s become increasingly demanding. All while my husband and I try to fit in house hunting, me studying for an English test with the British council for my work visa, it makes it nearly impossible to sit down & type. You can only imagine the exhaustion at the end of the day, as I’m sure there are loads of you who go through the same thing.

I never lose interest in my blog though, its finding inspiration between my busy schedule that bothers me. Some people just have the knack for things like that. I’m unfortunately not part of that group.

So, I took my husband’s advice & took some time out, again. Not to go shopping, or to do my nails but just go somewhere quiet, by myself with nothing else besides my phone, of course (girl’s gotta be connected). The best place for me is either the beach on a quiet week day or some place I can lay in the grass, smell pine trees & stare into nothingness. It’s not like all your problems go away or anything but you sort of find yourself as a positivist & your mind unlocks ways to deal with them, something that’s hard to do when you’re stressed or over stretched.

I assume the calm is something similar to the feeling of ‘coming to terms’. I recently started watching this series called Limitless. It’s based on the movie that exposes the minds capabilities on NZT (a neurological drug). Basically, we as humans only use about 10% of our brains, 15% at your peak which means the rest is all un-used memory, that can be accessed but isn’t. ‘Can we get some NZT in here, please!’. The series is absolutely brilliant. I need to learn a thing or two about managing what I focus on, hopefully from here on out, it’s all smooth sailing.
