Was Sunday not just the most beautiful weather?

We made the most of it and headed out to the southern most part of Cape Town, Kalk Bay harbor, for a little scenery change and for what could have been the most phenomenal seaside meal I’ve had in a while. The weather, food and unexpected company was everything that I needed in my down time and with another upcoming week off, I’m giddy from all the excitement. My husband and I love exploring Cape Town. It’s the little weekend adventures that we do together that make all the difference.

What I’m wearing

I felt like this look was a little less city, a little more seaside and I kind of liked it!

It’s giving me such fever to finally be able to wear short sleeves and lots of white. During most months of the year, wearing all black is everything for me but for summer I think I’ll be dressing a lot brighter, still sticking to my general low-key minimal dress sense of course. I’ve got a few items that I’m lusting over, especially after following NYFW. Flared legs, shirt dresses and perspex is on my Hot Sh*t list this summer!

Speaking of Hot new Sh*t. These sunnies are my new favourites and are becoming increasingly popular everywhere! The fact that Rayban took their conventional design into a playful new frame like this is revolutionary. I think our generation may have a lot to do with it too! I had such fomo for the round reflective framed lens last year. It was too small and didn’t fit my face at all, it actually looked kind of ridiculous to be quite honest so as soon as these frames were launched, a little bigger and a lot quirkier, I jumped for joy! You can find them at Sunglass Hut along with a whole bunch of other great brands.
