A massive HELLO to everyone, gosh I haven’t been here in a while!

It’s been a busy few months at work. I’ve been blessed to have amazing opportunities at our practice as well as in my blogging life. I did a live chat on my Instagram a few weeks ago and I received so many questions regarding my post-graduate study life, many questions about my hair (I went a little shorter) and loads of advice on how to manage it all.

I must say that I’m sure I’m not the only one in a whirlwind right now. If you can relate to only really having 2 hours a day for yourself, besides sleeping (which in most time’s, rarely helps because your brain can’t shut off) then I’m sure a little motivation from anyone for that matter, is always appreciated.

I’m the type of person who rarely asks for help. It’s not that I don’t want it, it’s merely the fact of always wanting to do everything myself because I believe I’m the only person I can trust to do it the right way! That’s kind of what I get from my mom.

My husband warned me about taking on a little too much but I was determined. ‘Don’t mess with my plan!’ I said. All he did was look the other way and make the ‘not my business’ hand gesture to me. Lol.

A little while ago, I genuinely thought I was having a meltdown. I stayed in my pj’s all day, refused to go to work, never answered any calls or emails, drank 3 milkshakes, had sushi in bed, ate an entire Milky Bar by myself (the rice crispy one) and watched really sad movies, all day, just so that I had a reason to cry a little!

Anyways, by the time I realized that I was moping for the mere reason of selfishness and basically causing it upon myself, I needed help. My time management was the biggest problem and I knew I needed to make a change. Usually when I’m in this mind frame, I fix the problem externally and internally. Externally by asking for help and internally by making myself feel good again. There’s only so many hours in a day. I eventually took my cape off and knew I needed a manager (and a haircut).

The update right now is so much better! I’m still that busy bee, always with my laptop and cellphone but after asking for a little help, little tasks that I can now trust with others has taken a load off. My husband even does a little more around the house just to save me some time (so lekker). My hair cut was an impulse and the best one yet! I don’t miss my longer hair just yet, so for now, expect to see loads of new hair flip images on Insta 🙂

Here’s a list of a few things I’ve been doing that might just help you out:

  1. Create a ritual of little spoils, everyday. My current ritual is having an ice-cream treat everyday at 3pm (we’ll continue this after the fast), read at least 2 chapters of a good book or magazine before bed while sipping hot chocolate.
  2. I visit my favourite thai massage parlour, Nabua, every Saturday morning (this place is amazing!) and spend the early afternoon watching movies from the 80’s, 90’S and 2000’s. Pretty woman is usually my top choice.
  3. Pamper myself every Sunday morning. Hair, nails, skin and waxing, of course.
  4. Having a diary on hand. Always.
  5. Download the best apps so that you don’t have to leave your house or the office to get things done. My top app right now: Order In.

If you have any advice or know of any cool app’s that’ll help me out, I’d love to hear about it!
